The mission of The Heather J. Kwiate Foundation is to create positive change in the lives of those impacted by domestic violence, to raise awareness, and to develop sustainable strategies for prevention. The Foundation provides a network that includes access to safe-havens for the abused and their families. By empowering them through emotional support, emergency funding, job skills training, and other educational opportunities we strive to give help and hope to those in need in an effort to End the Silence and STOP the VIOLENCE!
February 28th, 2013,the House passed the inclusive Senate VAWA reauthorization! The bill will be sent to the President to sign! Congratulations! We did it!! In a strong, bipartisan vote, the House has just voted 286-138 for S. 47, a strong, bipartisan bill that reauthorizes the landmark Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). This bipartisan legislation improves VAWA programs and strengthen protections for all victims of violence.

Please support the Heather's Legacy Power Bag Project!
The Power Bag Project is a great way for you to show your support for Heather’s Legacy. Heather's Legacy Power Bags are one of a kind bags and totes, meticulously hand made by our volunteers, led by Project Manager Christy Hernandez and designed by Agnes Oberth (our Heather’s aunt).
These beautiful pieces come in a variety of styles, sizes, and colors and make great book, computer and hand bags. Best of all, all of the profits go to supporting Heather’s Legacy projects, partners, and programs.
