The mission of The Heather J. Kwiate Foundation is to create positive change in the lives of those impacted by domestic violence, to raise awareness, and to develop sustainable strategies for prevention. The Foundation provides a network that includes access to safe-havens for the abused and their families. By empowering them through emotional support, emergency funding, job skills training, and other educational opportunities we strive to give help and hope to those in need in an effort to End the Silence and STOP the VIOLENCE!

"No More Truning Away." Heather's Legacy's first official intern shares her story of how she became involved in Heather's Legacy and how the experience has changed her life forever.
February 28th, 2013,the House passed the inclusive Senate VAWA reauthorization! The bill will be sent to the President to sign! Congratulations! We did it!! In a strong, bipartisan vote, the House has just voted 286-138 for S. 47, a strong, bipartisan bill that reauthorizes the landmark Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). This bipartisan legislation improves VAWA programs and strengthen protections for all victims of violence.
We lost Heather three years ago today but it still seems like yesterday. Please join us at Heather's Legacy and help make a difference in someone else's life.
